Yep ...we are all still patiently waiting for the day when the people from world's oldest continuing culture, holding the same legal rights as a rock on a track before 1967, the traditional owners of this land, are at least acknowledged in the Constitution of Australia as part of the development of a treaty and edge closer to true reconciliation.

Emu Dancer (Daramulan) - Koolewong Trail, Brisbane Water National Park

The Koolewong Trail in Brisbane Water National Park has quite a few smaller trails running off it. This Emu Dancer (Daramulan) was found in the vicinity of a network of caves toward the southern end of the trail. It was covered by leaves and soil. Unless you knew what you are looking for, you may just miss it and walk over it. This type of engraving is found in some special places in Guringai Country. It's a pointer that something more important is in this area.
