Yep ...we are all still patiently waiting for the day when the people from world's oldest continuing culture, holding the same legal rights as a rock on a track before 1967, the traditional owners of this land, are at least acknowledged in the Constitution of Australia as part of the development of a treaty and edge closer to true reconciliation.

Whale Site, Woy Woy Road, Kariong

This particular site may have been previously associated with an Aboriginal Reserve. An old sign marker post is just visible from the roadway. A short 30 metre walk through dense spikey hakea leads to the main whale that is still in good condition. There are fish engravings nearby and a wallaby. This site is about 5 minutes walk from Bulgandry and another 10 minute walk from a serious sacred site nearby. Access is via the eastern side of Woy Wy Rd in line with the northern Bulgandry Fire Trail.
