West Gordon, Lane Cove National Park

Kangaroo
This site has a small number of engravings with the kangaroo as the main figure. This site is accessed via a trail from Terrace Road, West Gordon or via the main track running from Ryde Road (cnr of Lady Game Drive). It is slightly hidden from view under some trees next to a fire trail. This style of engraving is quite different to others in that the Kangaroo has the upper and lower limbs showing. This is a similar style to that used in some engraving sites in Somersby, many kilometres away.

Pennant Hills

Small man on vertical rock surface
This solitary engraving is found in deep bush in Pennant Hills Park. It looks as though the man was engraved on top of the cave before it eroded and fell.
