Yep ...we are all still patiently waiting for the day when the people from world's oldest continuing culture, holding the same legal rights as a rock on a track before 1967, the traditional owners of this land, are at least acknowledged in the Constitution of Australia as part of the development of a treaty and edge closer to true reconciliation.

Sacred Site, Berowra

This is a very significant site linked to others including other sacred sites at Bobbin Head, Mt Kuringai and Duffy's Forest. This site includes a group of men engraved in a style common to Woy Woy, Kariong, Narara and Somersby and ladies from Bobbin Head and Mt Kuringai. This site is situated high on a cliff flanked hill - easily accessible from the end of Alston Drive, Berowra. The site is easily missed and is on the left hand side of the trail usually covered in leaf litter - 4 minutes walk from the sealed road.
