A series of small engraving platforms located off the western side of Woy Woy Road, contain engravings that are partially covered in dirt and leaf material. This engraving appears to be a fish, continuing the theme in this location of a connection to marine/aquatic beings,
Revisiting the Aboriginal Engravings of the Sydney / Hawkesbury Districts. 14 Blacks, 6 Tigers, 3 Death Adders, 8 Brown Snakes, one unidentified grey blue snake but no pythons ..... that would be about 42 serious reptiles for more than 511 engraving platforms and a few caves - INXS of 7636 engravings, still counting and still loving it!!!
Yep ...we are all still patiently waiting for the day when the people from world's oldest continuing culture, holding the same legal rights as a rock on a track before 1967, the traditional owners of this land, are at least acknowledged in the Constitution of Australia as part of the development of a treaty and edge closer to true reconciliation.
