Yep ...we are all still patiently waiting for the day when the people from world's oldest continuing culture, holding the same legal rights as a rock on a track before 1967, the traditional owners of this land, are at least acknowledged in the Constitution of Australia as part of the development of a treaty and edge closer to true reconciliation.

Stingray or Sea Creature, Strickland State Forest, Narara



This engraving is barely visible except for the eye detail and feint outline of the engraving witnessed late in the afternoon on a sunny afternoon. This engraving appears as a very old and weathered stingray which is extremely rare in this area that has sometimes been claimed as Darkingjung territory. As such, an engraving of a stingray is significant as sea creatures were not engraved in accepted Darkinjung Territory. There is a substantial PH D Thesis (ANU) that validates the frequency of particular engravings within traditional territorial boundaries.
